Vande Bharat Express Now Connects Meerut to Varanasi via Ayodhya, Covering 782.5 KM in Just 11 Hours 55 Minutes

A new train service from Meerut to Varanasi is starting, covering the journey in under 12 hours.



A new train service is now connecting Meerut and Varanasi, passing through Ayodhya. The train, numbered 22490/22489, started its journey on Wednesday and will make the trip along this route.

This train will cover a distance of 782.5 kilometers in 11 hours and 55 minutes. It will stop at stations like Ayodhya, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Moradabad, making it convenient for passengers traveling along these routes.


The train will run every day except Tuesdays. It has two types of coaches: AC Chair Car and Executive Class. The fare from Varanasi to Meerut is ₹2140 for Chair Car and ₹3765 for Executive Class.

The train leaves Meerut City at 6:35 AM and reaches Varanasi at 6:25 PM. On the return journey, it departs from Varanasi at 9:10 AM and arrives back in Meerut City by 9:05 PM.


This new service aims to improve connectivity in the region and is expected to benefit many passengers traveling between these important cities.
