Vande Bharat Sleeper Version to Launch Soon, Promising Comfortable Long-Distance Travel for Passengers.

The sleeper version of the Vande Bharat train is set to be launched soon, providing a comfortable travel option for passengers on long-distance journeys. There is significant anticipation for the sleeper Vande Bharat, particularly for the route from Delhi to Srinagar. Meanwhile, the timetable for the Vande Bharat train service between Jammu and Srinagar has already been announced, promising a swift and scenic trip for travelers heading to Kashmir, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful snowfall during their journey.

Journey Details and Timings

The Vande Bharat train will complete the journey between Jammu and Srinagar in just three hours and ten minutes. It will depart from Katra station at 8:10 AM, reaching Srinagar by 11:20 AM. The return journey will leave Srinagar at 12:45 PM, arriving back in Katra at 3:55 PM. This new service will not only serve the local population but is also expected to attract a significant number of tourists to the region. Additionally, two more mail/express trains are set to commence service on the same route, enhancing connectivity.

Infrastructure Highlights

The Jammu to Srinagar train route is nearly complete, featuring the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River, which is taller than the Eiffel Tower. The Vande Bharat train will cross this engineering marvel, providing passengers with a unique travel experience. Moreover, the design of the Vande Bharat trains has been specifically tailored for the challenging winter conditions of Srinagar, incorporating water heating technology to prevent freezing in sub-zero temperatures. Though the official launch date has yet to be announced, the timetable is in place, and further details are expected soon.
