What’s inside:

This article discusses the Vande Bharat train, its production locations, and features that make it faster than regular trains.

A recent update has come out about the Vande Bharat trains in India. These semi-high-speed trains are becoming very popular among passengers for their speed and comfort.

Currently, there are about 75 Vande Bharat Express trains running across the country, connecting almost all states except for some in the Northeast. A new upgraded version with sleeper coaches is also being developed in Chennai.

The first Vande Bharat train was made in the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. Now, two more factories in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh are also manufacturing these trains. This expansion will help meet the growing demand.

What makes the Vande Bharat trains unique is that they have engines installed underneath the coaches, rather than having a separate engine. This design allows the train to reach high speeds quickly, with a maximum speed of 180 km/h.

Railway authorities plan to introduce the upgraded sleeper version soon. This will enhance travel options for passengers looking for faster and more comfortable journeys.

Summary:

  • Vande Bharat trains are gaining popularity in India for their speed.

  • About 75 Vande Bharat trains are currently operational across the country.

  • New sleeper versions of the train are being developed in Chennai.

  • These trains have engines under the coaches for quicker acceleration.

  • An upgraded sleeper version will be introduced soon for better passenger comfort.
