What’s inside:
The Vande Bharat train from Gorakhpur to Prayagraj will not operate during the Mela, forcing passengers to change trains at Lucknow.
The Vande Bharat train from Gorakhpur will not be coming to Prayagraj during the Magh Mela this year. This change will be effective from January 13 to January 25.
Initially, it was planned for the train to operate from Fafamau Station instead of Prayagraj Junction on those dates. However, the railway has now changed this decision.
Passengers traveling to Prayagraj from Gorakhpur will need to change trains at Lucknow. The Vande Bharat will still leave Gorakhpur at 6:05 AM and reach Lucknow by 10:20 AM, before returning to Gorakhpur at 6:25 PM.
This means that travelers cannot go directly to Prayagraj from Gorakhpur, which may affect those planning to visit and return in one day.
Railway officials have mentioned that special trains will still be running from Fafamau Station during the Mela to manage the crowd. The change has been made for better crowd management.
