This article shares updates about improving passenger services on Vande Bharat trains, similar to Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains.
There’s some exciting news for train passengers! The Indian Railways is planning to enhance the travel experience on Vande Bharat trains, just like it has done for Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains. This new initiative aims to introduce an on-board housekeeping service for better cleanliness and comfort.
Currently, the existing on-board housekeeping service used in mail and express trains won’t be applied to Vande Bharat. Instead, a new standard policy will be set up for premium services. This will also be extended to Amrit Bharat and future sleeper Vande Bharat trains.
The Railway Board has asked for detailed information on this proposal by November 25. Once the East Central Railway and North Railway provide their inputs, a decision will be made regarding the new housekeeping service.
North Railway has suggested a standardized deployment policy, which includes having one housekeeping staff member in each Vande Bharat coach, along with additional staff for executive classes. East Central Railway has emphasized the need for dedicated staff to maintain cleanliness in toilets and manage waste disposal effectively.
As a next step, the Railway Board will review the proposals and look into how housekeeping services are currently managed in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains. This will help in finalizing the plans for housekeeping services on Vande Bharat trains, including those running from Dhanbad to Coimbatore.
Summary:
- Railways plans to improve services on Vande Bharat trains.
- New on-board housekeeping service will be introduced.
- Proposal details to be submitted by November 25.
- Focus on cleanliness and passenger comfort in trains.
- Current housekeeping practices in other trains will be reviewed.
