The Vande Bharat Express train that runs from Varanasi to Deoghar via Gaya is getting an upgrade. Starting soon, this semi-high-speed train will have a total of 16 coaches.
This new setup will include one executive class coach and seven chair car coaches. With these additions, the train can now accommodate 598 more passengers, making travel easier for many pilgrims and other travelers.
The train departs from Varanasi Cantt station at 6:20 AM and reaches Deoghar by 1:40 PM. On the return trip, it leaves Deoghar at 3:10 PM and arrives back at Varanasi at 10:30 PM. This train connects Varanasi with Bihar and Jharkhand.
Deoghar is home to the famous Baba Baijnath Dham, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, attracting many devotees from Varanasi and nearby areas. The train will stop at several important stations including Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction and Gaya Junction.
The Railway Ministry has announced this decision due to the increasing demand for seats. The process to add these new coaches has already started, and it is expected that the upgraded train service will begin next month.
