The weather update for Bihar, including a forecast of cold days and foggy conditions.
Bihar is currently experiencing cold winds, leading to a drop in temperature and fog clearing on Monday. Despite the sunshine, the weather experts predict a further increase in cold nights. By Wednesday night, temperatures may drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
From December 24 to 26, the western and central parts of Bihar may witness dense fog and cold days. Other parts of the state might also experience moderate to dense fog in the next 4-5 days. Additionally, some areas in Bihar could see a rise of 1-4 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures in the next 2-3 days.
Weather scientists in Patna suggest a possible increase of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures in various parts of Bihar over the next few days. The minimum temperature is expected to remain stable in the next 48 hours, but a decrease of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius is forecasted thereafter.
After four days, most areas in the district saw a slight increase of 2.1 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures. The maximum temperature in the city was 18.9 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 12.5 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature recorded this season was 6.6 degrees Celsius in Rajgir (Nalanda), with cold days declared in Nalanda, Arwal, and Jehanabad.
The weather experts attribute the increasing cold in Bihar to the formation of the Pachua Jet Stream, causing the weather to turn colder. The cold weather is likely to continue in Patna for the next three days, resulting in cold days. Dense fog is also expected in the district on Wednesday and Thursday.
Summary:
- Bihar experiencing cold winds and dropping temperatures
- Possible dense fog and cold days from December 24 to 26
- Increase in maximum temperatures expected in the next few days
