The construction of Nishatpura station has been underway for nearly three years with an estimated investment of ₹500 crore. One of the biggest technical advantages of this station is the elimination of engine reversal for several trains, which will save approximately 30 to 45 minutes of travel time per journey. The station is equipped with modern infrastructure including wide platforms, foot-over bridges, digital ticket counters, and dedicated parking zones to handle the expected passenger rush.

Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria has confirmed that the Malwa Express and Jabalpur-Somnath (Veraval) Express have already been notified for halts at this new station.
