What are the new routes and schedules?
The first Amrit Bharat Express (Train No. 22589/22590) will run between Banaras (Varanasi) and Hadapsar (Pune). It will stop at major stations like Prayagraj, Jhansi, Itarsi, and Bhusawal, taking about 28 to 30 hours. The second train will operate between Ayodhya and Mumbai, passing through Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
What are the features and fare of these trains?
These trains are designed for low and middle-income families and pilgrims. They use push-pull technology for better speed and performance. The trains have non-AC sleeper and unreserved coaches with charging points and mobile holders. While the fare is 15-17% higher than standard mail/express trains, it remains an affordable option.
