The government approved ₹671.72 crore for the North-South Corridor of the Kolkata Metro. This includes building seven new Traction Substations for ₹291.06 crore and upgrading the power system from 11 KV to 33 KV between Netaji Metro Station and Kavi Subhash Metro Station for ₹380.66 crore.
