Bhagalpur Railway Junction: New stabling line developed, light engine trial completed

The Malda Rail Division has completed the development of a new stabling line at Bhagalpur Railway Junction. A light engine trial was successfully conducted on May 13, 2026, to ensure the line is ready for operational use. This infrastructure project was carried out under the guidance of DRM Shri Manish Kumar Gupta.

What is the purpose of the new stabling line?

The new stabling line is developed near the shunting neck of Bhagalpur station. It is designed to provide better management and halting facilities for coaching rakes. This will reduce congestion within the station area and help in managing train movements more efficiently.

With the new line, train operations will become smoother and less crowded. This improvement in infrastructure will help the railway administration provide trains to passengers on time.
