BPSC Exam Conducted Amid Train Delays

The BPSC exam, previously canceled at the Bapu Center in Patna, is rescheduled for today and will take place at 22 examination centers. Candidates are allowed entry to the centers from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, with the exam scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. However, many candidates traveling from Delhi to Patna on the Delhi-Patna Tejas Rajdhani Express have missed the exam due to significant delays caused by dense fog. The train, which was initially scheduled to depart from Delhi at 8:30 PM, is running late by over 11 hours, adversely affecting candidates’ ability to arrive on time.

Concerns Raised by Officials

JDU MLC and National Spokesperson Neeraj Kumar expressed his concerns on Twitter regarding the situation, urging the railway administration to consider adjusting train schedules to accommodate candidates traveling for the re-examination. The late arrival of the Delhi-Patna Tejas Express has resulted in numerous candidates being unable to participate in the exam, which is being conducted under strict security measures. Authorities have implemented elaborate arrangements across the 22 centers in Patna, including the deployment of patrol magistrates to ensure a peaceful examination environment.

Impact of Fog on Train Services

The ongoing dense fog has severely disrupted train services, with many trains, including the Rajdhani Express, facing delays of up to 14 hours, while four trains have been canceled altogether. Passengers have expressed their frustration due to the cancellations and delays, which have affected numerous routes from Delhi to Bihar. The railway administration has reported significant delays for various trains, including the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani and Sealdah Rajdhani, along with other services running late.
