Commuters traveling on the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line can finally heave a sigh of relief as services are back to normal. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) confirmed on Friday morning, March 6, 2026, that trains are running on their standard schedule after a brief disruption earlier in the day. While the morning rush faced some delays due to ‘bunching’ of trains, the technical teams have cleared the traffic, ensuring a smooth ride between Dwarka Sector-21 and Noida Electronic City or Vaishali.

What is the current status of the Blue Line?
According to the official update from the DMRC handle, the technical issues that caused the initial delay have been resolved. The Blue Line, which is one of the busiest corridors connecting Delhi with Noida and Ghaziabad, is now fully operational. Passengers using Smart Cards will continue to receive the standard 10% discount on their journeys. Officials have advised daily commuters to keep an eye on the DMRC app for real-time station alerts, especially during peak office hours, to avoid any confusion.
PM Modi to inaugurate India’s first Ring Metro
In a massive development for the capital’s transport network, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate two vital metro stretches this weekend. The most significant update is the completion of the Pink Line section from Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur. This 12.3 km stretch completes India’s first fully operational Ring Metro, which spans over 71 kilometers. This new loop is expected to drastically reduce travel time for passengers wanting to bypass central Delhi traffic.
Key updates on new routes and infrastructure
Along with the Pink Line, the PM will also inaugurate the new Magenta Line section from Deepali Chowk to Majlis Park. These infrastructure projects are worth over ₹18,300 crore and include engineering marvels like a new bridge over the Yamuna and a double-decker viaduct. Furthermore, the foundation stone for Phase-V corridors will be laid, marking the start of new connectivity projects from Ramakrishna Ashram Marg. Commuters should note that standard operations run from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with Sunday services typically starting at 8:00 AM.
