Eastern Railway Introduces Special Train Service for Kumbh Mela Between Kanpur Central and Bhagalpur Junction.

Special Train Service for Kumbh Mela

Eastern Railway has announced a special train service to accommodate the increased passenger flow during the upcoming Kumbh Mela. This service will operate between Kanpur Central and Bhagalpur Junction, designated as train numbers 04153 and 04154. The special train aims to facilitate smooth transportation for the millions of devotees expected to attend this significant religious event.

Train Details and Schedule

The train will run with the following schedule: Train No. 04153 will depart from Kanpur Central at 14:00 on Mondays and arrive at Bhagalpur Junction at 09:15 on Tuesdays. Conversely, Train No. 04154 will leave Bhagalpur Junction at 11:00 on Tuesdays and arrive back at Kanpur Central at 04:30 on Wednesdays. Key stoppages for Train No. 04153 include Prayagraj Junction, Hajipur, Monghyr, and Bhagalpur Junction, while Train No. 04154 will also stop at the same stations in reverse order. Additional halts will be made at Fatehpur, Mirzapur, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Steam, We buy, Danapur, Patliputra, Barauni, Begusarai, and Sultanganj.

Train Composition and Dates of Operation

The special train will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including 2 AC 2-tier, 6 AC 3-tier, 3 AC 3-tier Economy, 5 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class (LWS), 1 Power Car, and 1 LSLRD coach. The service will run on selected dates: Train No. 04153 from Kanpur to Bhagalpur on January 6, January 20, February 3, February 10, and February 17, 2025, and Train No. 04154 from Bhagalpur to Kanpur on January 7, January 21, February 4, February 11, and February 18, 2025. Passengers are encouraged to book tickets in advance due to anticipated high demand and to follow any applicable COVID-19 guidelines.
