Etihad Rail has successfully operated a passenger train trial connecting Al Ghuwaifat on the Saudi border with Al Faya station in Abu Dhabi. This trial was conducted in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Media Office and the Emergencies, Crisis and Disasters Management Centre to ensure the rail network provides reliable movement for residents and nationals. The network is designed to act as a primary alternative route during crisis situations when standard road transport might be unavailable.

Passenger Amenities and Travel Classes
The passenger service will offer three distinct travel classes including First Class, Business Class, and Economy to cater to different passenger needs. Each train is designed to carry 400 people and will be equipped with modern facilities to ensure a comfortable journey for daily commuters and expats. Officials have confirmed that the nol card system will be used for ticket bookings and fare payments.
