Several regional projects have received the green light to improve local connectivity and industrial logistics. These projects focus on both passenger comfort and the efficient movement of goods like cement and minerals.
- Jaipur Metro Phase-2: A 41 km long North-South corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mod was approved with an investment of 13,037.66 crore rupees.
- Dehri-Rohtas Light Railway: A 25 km long line in Bihar, pending for 40 years, finally received 1.11 billion rupees for its construction.
- Chhattisgarh New Line: A new rail line between Baikunth and Urkura was sanctioned at a cost of 426 crore rupees to boost the energy and mineral corridor.
- Optical Fiber Project: A 398.36 crore rupee project will cover 1,929 km in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh to strengthen the ‘Kavach’ safety system.
