Kumbh Mela Special Train Preparations
The Indian Railways has made extensive arrangements for the upcoming Mahakumbh festival to be held in Prayagraj. To accommodate the anticipated influx of devotees, the East Central Railway is operating multiple Kumbh Mela special trains. These services include trains traveling from Patna to Prayagraj via Gaya, with operations commencing on January 10.
Train Schedule
The train schedule for the Kumbh Mela special services includes the following: The 03219 Patna-Prayagraj Junction Kumbh Mela Special Train will run on January 10, 11, 17, 18, 25, 26, 27, as well as February 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, 27, and 28. Similarly, the 03220 Prayagraj Junction-Patna Kumbh Mela Special Train will operate on the same dates. The Gaya-Prayagraj Junction special train (03689) and the Prayagraj Junction-Gaya special train (03690) will also run on identical schedules.
Restoration of Canceled Services
In response to passenger demand and convenience, several special train services that were previously canceled have been restored. The reinstated services include the 03201 Rajgir-Patna Special, 03202 Patna-Rajgir Special, 03206 Patna-Kiul Special, 03205 Kiul-Patna Special, 03656 Gaya-Patna Special, and 03655 Patna-Gaya Special. Additionally, special trains 03668 Gaya-Patna and 03667 Patna-Gaya will be operational on December 21, 23, and 24.
