Residents of Pali who have been demanding better connectivity to the national capital received a positive update this week. On February 9, Rajasthan BJP State President Madan Rathore and Pali MP P.P. Chaudhary met with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss this issue. During the meeting, the Minister gave his assurance that a new night train service connecting Pali to Delhi will be started soon to facilitate comfortable overnight travel.
Which route will the new train follow?
The railway officials are currently discussing the most viable starting point for this train to ensure it serves the maximum number of people. The discussions suggest that the train might originate from Bhildi, Barmer, or Samdari Junction. Regardless of where it starts, the train is confirmed to travel via Pali, Marwar Junction, Ajmer, and Jaipur. This route is being finalized to provide a direct link for passengers in the Pali region who currently rely on passing trains like the Ranikhet Express or Vande Bharat.
Expected Ticket Prices and Booking Rules
While the official notification and train number are yet to be released by the North Western Railway, the fare structure is expected to be similar to existing services on this route. Standard IRCTC booking rules allowing reservations 60 days in advance will apply once the schedule is out. The estimated costs for the journey are listed below:
- Sleeper Class: ₹370 – ₹400
- 3-Tier AC: ₹910 – ₹980
- 1st AC: ₹2,100 – ₹2,300
