The Ministry of Railways has announced that the popular UTS-on-Mobile app will permanently stop working on March 1, 2026. Passengers currently using this app for unreserved ticket bookings must switch to the new RailOne super app before the deadline. Northern and Southern Railway divisions issued advisories on February 9 and 10, warning users to migrate early to avoid any last-minute inconvenience. The new application integrates multiple railway services including ticketing and food ordering into a single platform.
Timeline for App Shutdown
The official date for the complete decommissioning of the UTS app is March 1, 2026. After this date, the app will no longer function for any ticket bookings. Authorities have already started the phase-out process by disabling new user registrations and season ticket renewals on the old platform. In the final stage of this transition, facilities like platform ticket booking and R-Wallet top-ups will also be turned off. Existing users can simply log in to the RailOne app using their current credentials without creating a new account.
Wallet Balance and Ticket Discounts
Indian Railways has assured passengers that any money remaining in their UTS R-Wallet is completely safe. This balance will not lapse and will be automatically available for use once the user logs into the RailOne app. To encourage passengers to adopt the new system, a special incentive has been introduced.
- 3% Discount: A direct discount of 3% is available on unreserved tickets booked via the RailOne app until July 14, 2026.
- Payment Mode: This discount applies when using digital payment methods like UPI, Debit/Credit cards, or Net Banking.
- Wallet Bonus: The existing 3% bonus on recharging the R-Wallet continues as before.
