The Indian Railways has announced plans to operate another Vande Bharat train from Meerut to Kashi, further streamlining travel options for the local population.
Route and Connectivity Details
The new Vande Bharat train will run from Meerut, travelling through key locations including Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, and Pratapgarh before reaching Banaras. Currently, there is an existing Vande Bharat service running between Meerut and Lucknow, which is set to be extended to Banaras. Although the specific timetable and stoppages for this new service have yet to be finalized, the Railway Ministry has indicated that details will be released soon, enabling passengers to plan their journeys accordingly.
Expanding Vande Bharat Services Nationwide
The Vande Bharat Express trains have gained immense popularity across India, with more than 55 services currently operational in various states, excluding the North-Eastern regions. The increasing number of trains reflects a growing demand, evidenced by high occupancy rates and the introduction of multiple services from several cities.
