A new Vande Bharat train is set to operate between Lucknow and Mumbai, benefiting Agra.
Agra is all set to welcome its first Vande Bharat train, which will run between Lucknow and Mumbai. This is the fifth Vande Bharat train in total. It will cover the distance in just 12 hours, making travel much quicker.
This new train will have 20 coaches and aims to reduce the travel time, as the current journey takes over 19 hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train once the Railway Board gives the green light for operations.
The Vande Bharat train will pass through Agra, making it easier for people to travel between Mumbai and Lucknow. This is a significant addition to the railway services in the region, as no such train currently operates on this route.
Previously, Agra received its first Vande Bharat train a year ago, followed by services to Udaipur, Khajuraho, and Varanasi, all of which can run at speeds of up to 160 km/h. Recently, Prime Minister Modi also flagged off other Vande Bharat trains connecting different cities.
With this new train, passengers can expect a more comfortable and faster journey. Testing for the train will happen soon, and once approved, it will be operational shortly after the official launch.
