A new Vande Bharat Express train will start running between Saharanpur and Lucknow from early morning on December 10. The train will leave Lucknow on December 9 at 3 PM and reach Saharanpur late at night.
The train, numbered 26504, will depart from Lucknow at 3:05 PM and arrive in Saharanpur after midnight. It has eight coaches, and the ticket prices are set at ₹1,530 for CC class and ₹2,750 for EC class. Key stops include Roorkee, Najibabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, and Gomti Nagar in Lucknow. This train will run six days a week, except for Mondays.
From Saharanpur, the train will leave at 5:05 AM. It will make stops at various stations, reaching Roorkee at 5:40 AM, Najibabad at 6:25 AM, Moradabad at 8 AM, Bareilly at 9:40 AM, and so on, before arriving at Gomti Nagar by 2:05 PM.
Interestingly, more than 95% of seats are still available for the first day of service. For example, as of Monday evening, there were 409 empty seats in CC class and 416 on December 11. This trend continues with 418 seats available on December 12, and similar numbers for the following days.
Many tickets are not being sold due to a lack of awareness about the new train service. The actual number of sold tickets will be clear only after the final chart is prepared. However, an increase in passenger numbers is expected soon.
