Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma recently visited Rae Bareli for a day. He inspected the Bachrawan and local railway stations to check on the ongoing construction work under the Amrit scheme.

During his visit, he reviewed the progress and quality of the construction. If he found any issues, he warned the responsible officials about possible departmental action and instructed them to complete the work on time.


Verma mentioned that construction is ongoing at 40 stations in the Lucknow division, with work at Fafamau and Prayagraj Junction completed. The target is to finish construction at the remaining eight stations by March next year and at 20 stations by the end of next year.

He also addressed a recent accident that occurred during wall construction at the station, stating that special safety measures will now be enforced at all work sites. No work will start without supervisor approval, and guidelines for work site protection are now in place.


Verma expressed concern about incidents of stone-pelting on Vande Bharat trains and said that efforts are being made to raise awareness about train safety among the public. He emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for such acts.
