What’s inside:

A new training center for Indian Railways is being built in Jhansi to support the growing number of Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains.

Railways is setting up a new training center in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, to meet the increasing demand for Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains. This center will be located on a 30,000 square meter land in front of the Rail Coach Renewal Factory.

The construction has already started, with a budget of ₹330 crores. The goal is to finish the project within two years. This center will include a special simulator lab for training, allowing loco pilots to experience real train operations.

Once the training center is operational, railway staff like loco pilots, guards, and station managers won’t need to travel to other cities like Bhusawal or Udaipur for training. This facility will make training much more accessible for local railway employees.

The Rail Coach Renewal Factory, which was completed in October 2020 at a cost of ₹493 crores, initially focused on renewing LHB coaches. With new approvals, it will now also handle maintenance for Vande Bharat trains, which currently pass through the Jhansi division.

As the number of Vande Bharat trains increases, along with operations for Amrit Bharat trains, this new training center is seen as a significant development. It will enhance the maintenance and operation of these modern trains in the region.

Summary:

  • A new training center for railways is coming up in Jhansi.

  • The project will cost ₹330 crores and is expected to be completed in two years.

  • The center will have a simulator lab for train operation training.

  • Local railway staff won’t need to travel for training anymore.

  • This development supports the maintenance of Vande Bharat trains in the region.
