This new route will benefit passengers from Giridih, Parasnath, and Koderma, allowing them to access a faster and modern rail service. Additionally, there is a proposal to run the Deoghar-Jasidih-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express through New Giridih and Koderma on the same schedule.

Moreover, there’s a demand to run the Delhi-Godda Express three days a week as well, to ease the heavy crowd and long waiting lists currently faced by passengers. The Railway Minister showed a positive response regarding these requests.
Looking ahead, plans are also in place to expand freight services at New Giridih station. Discussions included enhancing infrastructure and creating a logistics hub there. The minister assured that construction for the Maheshmunda rack point will begin soon, aiming to improve overall rail facilities in the region.
