180 KMPH! Vande Bharat Shatters Speed Records in Massive High-Speed Trial
Indian Railways has reached a monumental technical milestone, pushing the boundaries of domestic rail travel. The latest Vande Bharat Chair Car rake has successfully completed a loaded high-speed trial, clocking an impressive 180 kmph.
The High-Speed Run: Nagda to Sawai Madhopur
The successful trial took place on the Nagda-Kota-Sawai Madhopur section. This run represents a critical step in the national transporter's mission to upgrade infrastructure and significantly increase rail speeds across the country.
While the train demonstrated exceptional stability during the run, the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) is continuing rigorous testing to ensure absolute safety. Before final speed certification is granted, the following trials are underway:
- Emergency braking performance
- Coupler force trials
