Corrections & Clarifications Policy
HelloRail corrects factual errors quickly and transparently. Accuracy matters more to us than the discomfort of admitting a mistake.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with the article URL, the specific claim you believe is wrong, and — where you have one — a source that supports the correction. You can also reach us on WhatsApp at +91 94708 30308.
How we handle it
- Minor errors (typos, spelling of names, small numerical slips that don't change the substance of the story) are fixed directly in the article, without a separate notice.
- Substantive errors (a wrong fact, an incorrect figure, a misattributed quote, or a claim that turns out to be false) are corrected in the article text, and a dated correction note is added at the bottom of the piece stating what was changed and why.
- Developing stories (accidents, disruptions, live announcements) are updated as new confirmed information arrives; where an earlier version of the story stated something that later turned out to be inaccurate, we note the update rather than silently editing it away.
Timeliness
We aim to review correction requests within 48 hours and to publish verified corrections as soon as they are confirmed. Urgent factual errors — for example, misreported casualty figures in accident coverage — are prioritised for immediate review.
Clarifications
Where a published article was accurate but has been read in a way we did not intend, or where context would help readers, we add a clarification note rather than treat it as an error.
