In Purnia, a terrible accident occurred early in the morning when three boys were hit by the Vande Bharat train near the Yavanpur railway crossing. This incident took place around 5 AM while the boys were returning from the Dussehra festival.

The deceased boys have been identified as Jigar Kumar (14), Sintu Kumar (13), Kuldeep Kumar (14), and Sundar Kumar (14). They all lived in Chandpur Bhangha in the Banmankhi block of Purnia and worked in a local makhana factory.
After the accident, the local police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) reached the site. They have informed the families of the victims, and the bodies will be handed over to them after the postmortem.
