Recently, a meeting of the Divisional Rail Consumer Advisory Committee (DRUCC) took place in Samastipur. This meeting focused on improving train services in the region, especially the route from Muzaffarpur to Hawrah.

During the meeting, which was led by the Divisional Railway Manager Jyoti Prakash Mishra, members discussed the need for introducing Vande Bharat and superfast trains on this route. A total of 19 members participated, sharing various suggestions for train services.


Passengers expressed the need for regular services and better facilities, like first-class AC coaches on trains like Pawan Express. They also requested improvements in the cleanliness of bedrolls and the overall hygiene of the trains.

Other suggestions included extending the running of specific trains, such as the Sanghamitra Express and Patliputra LTT Superfast, to Muzaffarpur. The meeting highlighted the importance of regularizing special trains and increasing the number of AC coaches on busy routes.


The Divisional Railway Manager assured that all suggestions would be taken seriously and considered for implementation. Improving passenger convenience remains a top priority for the railway officials.
