Project background and Amrit Bharat Station Scheme details
The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Railways in February 2023 to modernize railway stations across India. Shivnarayanpur is one of the 98 stations in Bihar identified for this transformation. The scheme aims to integrate stations with the city by adding facilities like shopping zones, food courts, and better accessibility features such as lifts and escalators. As of March 2026, work on 180 stations nationwide has been completed out of the total 1,337 stations identified for the project.
