Passengers traveling on the New Delhi-Dholpur shuttle trains are facing significant confusion due to outdated information on station display boards. Despite the route being extended to Dholpur, the electronic displays at various stations still show Kosi Kalan as the final destination. This discrepancy has led to daily commuters and elderly travelers struggling to confirm their train actual route and platform details.
Extension details and train schedule
The North Central Railway decided to extend the run of shuttle trains 64073 and 64074 to Dholpur on an experimental basis. This extension is currently effective from April 1 to June 30, 2026, to provide better connectivity for passengers traveling towards Agra and Rajasthan.
- Train Numbers: 64073 and 64074
- Route Extension: From New Delhi to Dholpur via Kosi Kalan and Mathura
- Morning Schedule: Leaves New Delhi at 4:15 AM and reaches Dholpur at 11:20 AM
- Return Journey: Departs Dholpur at 3:00 PM for New Delhi
- Benefits: Lower fares for passengers traveling to Mathura, Agra, and Dholpur
Why are the display boards showing incorrect data?
Passengers reported that while the train physically travels to Dholpur, the Passenger Information System at several stations remains outdated. Travelers are demanding that the railway administration update the display systems immediately and make regular announcements to clarify the final stop. The Railway Board had previously issued a circular to all 17 zones to take action against officials who fail to update the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) data correctly.
While officials from the Agra Division have not issued a formal comment on this specific incident, the integration of station displays with real-time tracking remains a priority for the Railway Board. For now, passengers are advised to verify the train destination with station staff or official mobile apps until the technical synchronization is complete.
