Senior officials from the North Western Railway recently reviewed the ongoing construction work and passenger amenities at the site. The project aims to modernize the station while maintaining its local heritage through unique architectural elements.
What changes are coming to Bhinmal Railway Station?
The redevelopment work focuses on both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the station. The use of Jaisalmer yellow stone will give the new building a distinct look. Officials have instructed the staff to prioritize basic needs like drinking water and clean toilets for passengers. The electrification of the Samdari-Bhiladi section is also in its final phase to improve operational efficiency.
Project timeline and upcoming facilities
The total budget for this redevelopment is estimated at 15 crore rupees. The first phase of construction is nearly finished and the second phase will bring more advanced features to the station.
