Passengers at Bharthana Railway Station now have better facilities on platforms 3 and 4. The railway administration improved the lighting system on the western side by installing new poles and lights to resolve long-standing visibility issues. Along with this, several infrastructure upgrades are planned to make the station more passenger-friendly.

What are the new updates for platforms 3 and 4?
The railway administration decided to extend the length of platforms 3 and 4 by 300 meters. Currently, these platforms are about 270 meters long, which caused trouble for passengers when longer trains stopped. After the expansion, the total length will reach approximately 570 meters, making it easier for people to get on and off the trains.
What other facilities are coming to the station?
A new foot overbridge is planned for the station to help passengers move between platforms safely. This bridge will be Divyangjan-friendly, meaning it will have wheelchair accessibility for differently-abled and elderly passengers. Construction for this bridge is expected to start within the next six months.
Who approved these changes?
The proposal for platform expansion and the new bridge was approved after physical verification by departmental officials. Station Superintendent Manoj Kumar confirmed that these steps aim to resolve the inconvenience caused by short platforms and improve overall passenger movement.
