The Railway Board has officially approved the Dohrighat-Aurihar MEMU train service for the Ghosi Lok Sabha area in Mau. The train will cover stations including Dohrighat, Muradpur Halt, Amila, Ghosi, Kopaganj, Indara, Mau, Dullabhpur, Jakhania, Sadat, and Aurihar.

Who is responsible for this new rail service?

The Railway Board gave the official approval on April 27, 2026. North Eastern Railway (NER) is the zone responsible for providing the rakes for this MEMU train. MP Rajiv Rai is credited for raising this issue in Parliament and writing to the Ministry.

On May 1, 2026, Cabinet Minister AK Sharma attended a thank-you event at Dohrighat station. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for the approval and promised that the formal launch will happen soon.
