The incident involved the Kasganj-Lucknow Passenger train, which was passing through the Fatehgarh police station area when the mishap took place near Mohalla Vankhadiya. Following the accident, rail traffic on the route was disrupted for approximately 30 minutes as the train remained stationed on the tracks.

Details of the Incident
According to eyewitnesses, the Kasganj-Lucknow Passenger train had just departed from the Fatehgarh railway station when the victim came under the wheels of the moving train near the Vankhadiya area. The impact was fatal, and the youth died on the spot. Local residents alerted the authorities, prompting a quick response from the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the local Fatehgarh police station.
Upon arrival, the police cleared the tracks to restore normal train movement. The victim was identified as Jatin Pal, a 21-year-old resident of Tapar village under the Jalalabad police station jurisdiction in Shahjahanpur district. Officials were able to establish his identity and contact his family members using a damaged mobile phone found at the scene.
Police Investigation and Next Steps
Fatehgarh Station House Officer (SHO) Ramswarup confirmed that the body has been recovered and sent for a post-mortem examination. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities stated that a formal report will be registered once a written complaint is received from the victim’s family. As of now, the track has been cleared, and train operations have resumed as scheduled.
