Agra Idgah Station: 20 Trains to Get 5-Minute Halts
Starting November 1, 2026, 20 trains at Agra Idgah station will enjoy a 5-minute halt instead of 2 minutes to improve passenger convenience.

Passengers traveling through the Agra Division will soon experience a more relaxed boarding process. Starting from November 1, 2026, the Agra Idgah station halt duration for 20 different trains will be increased to five minutes, up from the previous two-minute stop.
This operational adjustment is part of a broader effort by the Indian Railways to optimize services and improve passenger comfort within the Agra Division. The change ensures that commuters have more time to board and alight, reducing the rush during brief stops.
A Vital Hub Under the Amrit Bharat Scheme
The Agra Idgah station has undergone a significant transformation following its redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the station now serves as a crucial secondary hub designed to reduce the heavy traffic and congestion typically found at the Agra Fort Station.
According to Prashasti Srivastava, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Agra Division, the station's role has expanded considerably. This growth includes the integration of 12 additional pairs of trains that were previously diverted to Agra Fort, solidifying Idgah's position as a key transit point in the region.
Upcoming Special Trains and Connectivity
Beyond the permanent schedule changes, the station will continue to manage seasonal and special train services to accommodate travelers. Notable upcoming services include:
- Pune-Danapur Special Train: This special service is scheduled to stop at Agra Idgah between November 1 and November 13, 2026.
- Santragachi-Khatipura Express: This service is expected to enhance regional connectivity through the Agra area starting in early November.
These updates reflect the ongoing modernization of the railway network, ensuring that stations like Agra Idgah are equipped to handle increasing passenger volumes with efficiency and ease.
