- January 17, 2025: The Railway Minister's office confirmed that the proposal had been sent to the appropriate directorate for a thorough investigation.
- December 31, 2025: A critical financial step was completed when the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways confirmed that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had deposited the necessary funds with the Railway Department.
