The Ministry of Railways announced a new Amrit Bharat Express connecting Ayodhya, the birthplace of Prabhu Shree Ram, to Mumbai, the city of dreams. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the service on April 28, 2026. This train will provide a direct and affordable link between Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

The inaugural run, Train No. 02212, will depart from Ayodhya Dham at 16:45 hrs on April 28, 2026, and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) at 21:05 hrs. Regular services will operate weekly under train numbers 22111 and 22112. The train will stop at the following stations:

This train is designed for lower and lower-middle-income passengers, offering modern facilities at affordable fares. It uses push-pull technology for faster acceleration and is manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. The train consists of 22 coaches, including 8 Sleeper Class, 11 General Class, 2 SLR coaches, and a pantry car. Passengers will get USB Type-A and Type-C charging points, LED lights, CCTV surveillance, and an emergency talk-back system.
