Anand Vihar to Bhagalpur: New Daily Special Trains to Ease Diwali & Chhath Puja Rush!

In a major move to assist travelers during the upcoming festive season, North Central Railway has announced the launch of daily special train services between Anand Vihar, Delhi, and Bhagalpur, Bihar. This initiative comes as a response to the massive passenger demand expected during the Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrations, especially since regular train services are currently fully booked.
Daily Service and Trip Details
The new special service is designed to provide consistent connectivity, completing a total of 47 trips in each direction. The schedule is as follows:
- Train Number 04062 (Anand Vihar to Bhagalpur): This train will depart from Anand Vihar daily at 12:00 PM, starting from October 10 through November 25. It is scheduled to arrive in Bhagalpur the following day at 1:30 PM.
- Train Number 04061 (Bhagalpur to Anand Vihar): The return service will depart from Bhagalpur daily at 4:30 PM, starting from October 11 through November 26. It is expected to reach Anand Vihar the following day at 8:00 PM.
Coach Composition and Facilities
To accommodate a wide range of passengers, the train will consist of a total of 20 coaches, featuring the following layout:
- 1 Second Class AC coach
- 2 Third Class AC coaches
- 9 Sleeper class coaches
- 6 General class coaches
- 2 SLR class coaches
