Asansol Division Train Update: Several trains cancelled and delayed due to non-interlocking work
Asansol Division of Eastern Railway is carrying out non-interlocking work to build and commission the Jasidih bypass line. This construction is happening between Deoghar link cabin and Kumrabad Rohini section. Due to this, train services will be affected from June 20 to June 23, 2026, causing inconvenience to passengers especially in the Simultala area.
Which trains are cancelled and rescheduled?
Several MEMU and DEMU trains have been cancelled to facilitate the track work. The cancellations include trains running between Jasidih- Jhajha, Jasidih-Kiul, and Deoghar-Jhajha. Some trains will operate on a short-route basis, meaning they will start or end their journey at different stations than usual.

What are the timings for the traffic block?
The railway officials have scheduled the work in phases. On Monday, June 22, pre-non interlocking work will happen on the UP line from 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on the Down line from 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM. The main non-interlocking work is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, with a full traffic block from 02:15 PM to 05:15 PM.
Some express trains will also face delays. The 13331 Dhanbad – Patna Express will be delayed by 30 minutes on June 22. Additionally, the 63564 Jasidih-Asansol train will be held at Jasidih station for 20 minutes. DRM Sangrah Maurya stated that safety is the top priority during these infrastructure improvements.
