Commuters faced significant delays on Saturday afternoon after an Auraiya railway crossing malfunction caused a one-hour closure on a vital route. The incident occurred at the 13-B railway crossing located on the busy Delhi-Howrah rail line.

The disruption began at approximately 1:00 PM on October 3, 2026. According to reports, the gatekeeper attempted to operate the crossing as part of routine procedures, but a sudden mechanical issue prevented the gate from functioning.
