Grooming on the Go: Barber Services at Aligarh & Tundla

Indian Railways is stepping up its game to provide more than just transport. In a move to enhance passenger comfort, the Prayagraj division of North Central Railway has announced the launch of professional barber services at Aligarh and Tundla stations.
Pilot Project at Aligarh and Tundla
As part of a new pilot initiative, dedicated unisex salons will soon be available at Aligarh and Tundla railway stations. These facilities are strategically located within the circulating areas of the stations, making them easily accessible to commuters on the move. The service, which was formally announced on October 17, 2026, aims to provide high-quality grooming for travelers.
A Full Suite of Grooming Options
Travelers will no longer have to worry about looking unkempt during their journeys. The new salons will offer a variety of professional services, including:
- Professional haircuts
- Clean shaving services
- Refreshing facials
This initiative is specifically designed to cater to passengers who may need to look their best for business meetings, special events, or simply want to feel refreshed during long-distance travel.
According to officials from the Prayagraj division, this initiative represents a strategic effort to enhance passenger amenities at railway hubs.
Future Expansion Plans
The success of this pilot project will be closely monitored. If the demand at Aligarh and Tundla proves significant and the feedback from passengers is positive, the North Central Railway intends to expand these salon facilities to additional railway stations across its extensive network.
