Indian Railways has announced a vital new weekly service to help passengers navigate the heavy festive rush. The new Barhni Bandra Special Train is designed to accommodate the surge in travelers during the upcoming Navratri, Diwali, and Chhath Puja celebrations.

The North Eastern Railway has finalized the schedule for these special services, which will be operated by the Western Railway. The service includes eight unreserved trips in each direction to ensure maximum accessibility for commuters.
Train Number 05037: Barhni to Bandra Terminus
This service is scheduled to run every Thursday, starting from October 8 and continuing until November 26. Here are the journey details:
- Departure from Barhni: 7:45 PM
- Arrival at Bandra Terminus: 6:30 AM (on Saturday)
- Total Journey Duration: 34 hours and 45 minutes
Train Number 05038: Bandra Terminus to Barhni
The return journey will operate every Saturday between October 10 and November 28. The timing for the return trip is as follows:
- Departure from Bandra Terminus: 9:30 AM
- Arrival in Barhni: 11:30 PM (the following day)

The special trains will pass through several key stations, providing connectivity across Uttar Pradesh, Agra, and Maharashtra. Major halts include:
- Tulsipur and Balrampur
- Gonda and Lucknow
- Badshahnagar and Aishbagh

- Idgah Agra and Bayana

This new initiative is expected to provide significant relief to passengers traveling from Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, and Shravasti, as well as other areas near the Indo-Nepal border. By introducing these extra services, the railways aim to ease the pressure on existing routes during the peak holiday season.
This move comes as part of a larger festive strategy by Indian Railways.
