Northeast Railway launches unreserved Barhni and Bandra Terminus Puja special train

The Northeast Railway has announced the launch of an unreserved Puja special train service between Barhni and Bandra Terminus to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the festive season. According to Sumit Kumar, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the Northeast Railway, the initiative is designed to provide relief to travelers heading to Mumbai.
- Train No. 05037 runs from Barhni to Bandra Terminus for eight trips starting October 8, 2026, through November 26, 2026.
- Train No. 05038 runs from Bandra Terminus to Barhni from October 10, 2026, to November 28, 2026.
- The train utilizes a 16-coach rake comprising sleeper and general class carriages, all designated as unreserved.
Schedule and Timings
Train No. 05037, the Barhni–Bandra Terminus Special, is scheduled to depart Barhni every Thursday at 7:45 PM, starting October 8, 2026, through November 26, 2026. The train is slated to arrive at Bandra Terminus at 6:30 AM on Saturdays. The return service, Train No. 05038 (Bandra Terminus–Barhni Special), will depart Bandra Terminus every Saturday from October 10, 2026, to November 28, 2026. Departing at 9:30 AM, the train is scheduled to reach Barhni at 11:30 PM on Sundays.
Route and Stoppages
Intermediate stoppages for the outward journey include Badshahnagar at 1:18 AM, Aishbagh at 2:15 AM, as well as Kanpur Central, Etawah, Tundla, Idgah Agra, Bayana, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, and Borivali. The return service will stop at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Bayana, Idgah Agra, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur, Aishbagh at 5:20 PM, and Badshahnagar at 5:57 PM.
