On Thursday afternoon, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Lucknow Division, Gaurav Agarwal, carried out a surprise inspection to personally oversee the progress of ongoing redevelopment works. The inspection, which kicked off at approximately 1:30 PM, was aimed at ensuring that the modernization of the station is meeting the required standards.
To conduct a thorough ground-level assessment, the DRM arrived via a special train departing from Babhnan. He disembarked near the station's home signal at the 570-kilometer marker, allowing for a direct view of the construction and development activities currently shaping the station's future.
Driving the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana
The core objective of this visit was to monitor the implementation of the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. This massive national initiative is currently working to redevelop 1,309 railway stations across the country. The scheme is designed to fundamentally change how passengers interact with the railway network by focusing on:
