The newly launched Bengaluru Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper service promises to revolutionize night-time rail travel, offering a much faster and more comfortable alternative for passengers.
Drastic Reduction in Travel Time
For travelers accustomed to the existing Udyan Express, the new Vande Bharat service will be a massive relief. While the Udyan Express typically takes between 22 to 24 hours to complete the journey, the new Vande Bharat Sleeper Express covers the 1,118-kilometer distance in significantly less time.
- Bengaluru to Mumbai: Approximately 16 hours and 10 minutes.
- Mumbai to Bengaluru: Approximately 15 hours and 50 minutes.
This means passengers can save between 6 to 8 hours of travel time, making it an ideal option for those looking to maximize their time at their destination.
Timings and Route Details
The service is designed to facilitate smooth overnight travel. Here is the detailed schedule for the two primary routes:
Train No. 27652: SMVT Bengaluru to Mumbai
- Departure: 7:45 PM from SMVT Bengaluru
- Arrival: 11:55 AM the following day at Mumbai
Train No. 27651: Mumbai CSMT to Bengaluru
- Departure: 8:10 PM from Mumbai CSMT
- Arrival: 12:00 PM the following day at Bengaluru
The train will make scheduled stops at several key stations, including Anantapur, Guntakal, Raichur, Yadgir, Kalaburagi, Solapur, Pune, and Kalyan.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express consists of 16 modern coaches, all equipped with high-end passenger amenities to ensure a restful journey. Passengers can choose from three different classes of travel:
