Expanding the Sleeper Network
This launch follows the recent introduction of Vande Bharat Sleeper services on the Varanasi-New Delhi corridor, which was flagged off by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Indian Railways is rapidly expanding its fleet of next-generation trains to provide enhanced comfort and reliability on long-distance routes.
The Kashi-Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper service connects Varanasi, Prayagraj, Kanpur Central, Aligarh, and Ghaziabad before reaching New Delhi. With the upcoming introduction of services on the Howrah-Guwahati corridor in January 2026, the benefits of these advanced sleeper accommodations will extend to even more regions.
