The newly introduced Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express recently arrived at Kiul Railway Station located in the Lakhisarai district during its grand inaugural journey. This special run officially marks the commencement of much-needed direct rail connectivity between this region of Bihar and Ahmedabad. To celebrate this milestone event, enthusiastic locals and railway officials welcomed the train's loco pilot and guard with flower garlands and traditional sweets right at the station platform.

The initiative for this vital service came after Munger Member of Parliament Rajiv Ranjan, popularly known as Lalan Singh, pursued the matter with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. It is worth noting that the train service was originally planned to originate from Patna instead.
Railway authorities and local leaders have expressed immense optimism about the passenger response. According to official data, over 43 tickets were booked from Kiul for the train's first service, and authorities expect these booking volumes to rise significantly in the coming week. Because the service is primarily composed of sleeper coaches, it successfully addresses the travel needs of budget-conscious general passengers.
Inaugural Reception and Future Demands
The reception at Kiul Station saw the presence of several prominent local figures and social activists, including Naval Mandal, Nipendra Kumar, Shravan Mandal, Lalan Yadav, and Ravikant Yadav. Rajnish Kumar representing the Bihar Rail Users Association highlighted the strong initial passenger response and ticket bookings from Kiul. Additionally, JD(U) block president Naval Kumar praised MP Lalan Singh for his persistent efforts in establishing the direct connection and further urged authorities to include Kiul Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for future developmental upgrades.
