Bhiwani-Rohtak LC 26 Closed: Check Alternative Routes

The North Western Railway has announced the temporary closure of level crossing LC 26 on the Bhiwani-Rohtak rail section. This crossing, which connects Khardi Mod to Saipal village, will remain shut to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work until 10:00 PM on October 22.
Commuters Advised to Use Alternative Routes
To minimize inconvenience for local travelers, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of North Western Railway, Bikaner, has advised commuters to utilize alternative routes for vehicle movement during this period. Instead of using LC 26, travelers are encouraged to use the following crossings:
- Railway crossing 21C
- Railway crossing 23C
- Railway crossing 27C
- Other available local routes
Bhiwani-Rohtak Section Doubling Project
The maintenance at this crossing is part of much larger infrastructure upgrades currently underway in the region. Specifically, the ongoing Bhiwani-Rohtak section doubling project is a major focus of these improvements. The project involves several critical engineering tasks, such as:
- Ground leveling
- Sleeper installation
- Deployment of electric poles
The project is currently targeted for completion by March 2027. Once finalized, it is expected to significantly improve safety, operational speed, and capacity for both passenger and freight services.
Context of Recent Infrastructure Upgrades
These current works follow significant upgrades previously conducted in the sector. For instance, the implementation of automatic block signaling upgrades in January 2026 led to substantial operational changes, resulting in the disruption, diversion, or cancellation of more than 250 train trips.
