Bhuj to Barauni Amrit Bharat Express: New Tri-Weekly Connectivity Approved!
Indian Railways is set to significantly enhance long-distance connectivity between Western and Eastern India. The Ministry of Railways has officially sanctioned a new tri-weekly Amrit Bharat Express service that will bridge the gap between Bhuj in Gujarat and Barauni in Bihar.
Extensive Route and Connectivity
This new rail link will cover an impressive total distance of 2,532 kilometers. By traversing through the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, the service aims to provide much-needed transport options for passengers traveling across these diverse regions.
Detailed Train Schedule
The service will operate three times a week, following the schedule outlined below:
- Train No. 19427 (Bhuj to Barauni): Departing from Bhuj at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the train is scheduled to arrive in Barauni at 4:05 a.m. the following morning.
- Train No. 19428 (Barauni to Bhuj): The return service will leave Barauni at 11:55 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, reaching Bhuj at 1:15 p.m. the next day.

The Amrit Bharat Express is specifically designed for budget-friendly, long-distance travel on routes that exceed ten hours or 800 kilometers. The train will feature non-air-conditioned coaches, providing passengers with both sleeper and unreserved accommodation options to ensure affordability for all travelers.
While the Ministry has confirmed the approval of this new route, the specific date for when the service will begin operations is yet to be announced in a future notification.
